Shades of Alice in Wonderland flash through our memories as the 'woman Alice' is dismayed by the ever-late rabbit rushing toward the clock, representing the all too quick passage of time. In the modern woman's world of career, family and family members' schedules and appointments, there is never enough time to keep up, much less realize one's own dreams.
Our own mortality takes the shape of the cheshire cat, smiling with the knowledge that few of us will achieve our dreams in our all too short time on earth; our dreams fade to black like the body of the cheshire cat as time eludes us all.
Shakespeare sums it all up in his quote from King Richard II, "O! call back yesterday, bid time return".
