Her eyes and facial expression reflect the pain and the lost hope she feels at the break-up of this re- lationship, even though it is she who is ending it. Through deep evaluation, she has determined that although he loves her deeply, his idea of marriage and a wife is a woman who will support him in his aspirations and goals without regard to any of hers -- ergo, she sees him in only shades of gray; for herself, for her eternity. Above him are lines representing bars and small boxes indicative of the neat little cubbyholes into which she would have to confine her own goals. Her 'sky' is of the dawn, of the sun and of a future which knows no boundaries.
